FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for producing metallopolycarbosilanes (M1M2PCS). Method is proposed for the production of metallopolycarbosilanes by the interaction in the medium of an organic solvent of a polycarbosilane raw product (PCS raw product, Tsize=60–100 °C) with alkyl amide compounds of zirconium and tantalum or hafnium and tantalum of the corresponding formulas: M1(NR2)4, where M1 – Zr, Hf, R – CH3, C2H5, and M2(NR12)5-2z(=NR2)z, where M2 – Ta; R1 – CH3, R2 – t-C4H9, z=0.1. Process of obtaining M1M2PCS is carried out at variable temperatures from 20 to 280 °C and pressure of 0.2–0.4 kPa.
EFFECT: received M1M2PCS are suitable for use as precursors for the production of components (fibers, matrices, coatings, powders, and other) of highly heat-resistant ceramic composites based on silicon carbide modified with refractory metals (Zr, Hf, Ta).
