FIELD: geophysics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of geophysical research and can be used to protect underground metal structures, in particular gas pipelines, against corrosion. Method includes the breakdown of the main geophysical profiles with measurements of the geographical coordinates of the pickets and the construction of the scheme of the main geographic profiles. Non-contact measurements of the electric field is performed in all main profiles, revealing the zones of supposedly low resistance of rocks. Breakdown of additional profiles along the length of the identified zones of supposedly low resistance is carried out. Non-contact measurements of the electric field is performed for all additional profiles, revealing zones of low resistance of rocks. Additionally, measurements in the detected zones by means of vertical electric sounding are made and geographical coordinates of the sites of the wells of deep-well anode grounding devices and depth of installation of anode grounding electrodes are determined.
EFFECT: increase in the accuracy of determining the geographic coordinates of the zones of low rock resistance and the possibility of applying the method for indicating the sites for the placement of wells of anode grounding devices for cathodic protection of main gas pipelines.
