Electronic device for displaying a chart comprises: a display unit and a processor configured to: display an object input window, including part of the chart of a first type, wherein said part of the chart does not contain chart data; receive an object that is entered in the object input window; display the received object with part of the chart of a first type and display the chart of a first type, which combines part of the chart of a first type and data of the chart of the first type, corresponding to the received object, wherein said charts are obtained on the basis of the position of the received object on the object input window and the shape of the received object.
EFFECT: technical result is to provide display of a chart to enable the user to intuitively recognise and modify the chart.
