FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: cabinet for an electrical switchboard comprises: a frame delimiting an internal space of the cabinet; a door connected to the frame and having a first surface facing the internal space of the cabinet when the door is in a closed position, and a second surface opposed to the first surface and facing the external of the cabinet; at least one locking element connected to the frame; a mechanism which is adapted to be actuated for interacting with the at least one locking element and locking the door in the closed position. Said at least one locking element is adapted to pass through the door in the closed position by means of a corresponding opening in the first surface and the second surface. Said mechanism is coupled to the second surface for interacting with the at least one locking element when the door is in the closed position.
EFFECT: technical result consists in increasing the internal space of the cabinet.
