FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of transport engineering. Trunk contains base, cover and lock. Lock is mounted on the base or cover. Lock contains arranged at distance from each other movable locking elements, elongated drive element and the drive mechanism. Locking elements engage with located on the opposite base or cover retainers. Drive mechanism switches the locking elements from the locked position to the unlocked position. Locking elements are movably connected to the elongated shaped drive element so, that they can be switched from the unlocked position to the locked position sequentially one after the other. Trunk locking and unlocking method includes the following stages: the elongated drive element movement in order to unlock the locking elements; locking elements sequential return to the locked position; the drive element together with the last locking element returning to the locked position.
EFFECT: enabling increase in the trunk locking reliability.
