FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for inhibiting fouling of metal pipes, pipelines or vessels during production of fluids from an underground reservoir. Proposed is a method for inhibiting fouling of metal pipes, a pipeline or vessel in an underground reservoir, or metal pipes, a pipeline or vessel running to or from an underground reservoir, or connected to an underground reservoir. This method includes: (a) applying an agent for surface modification, which contains an anchor fragment and a hydrophobic tail, to the metal oxide on the surface of metal pipes, a pipeline or vessel, moreover, the anchor fragment is a metal or a derivative of an organic phosphorus acid, and the hydrophobic tail is a silicone material, a fluorinated hydrocarbon, or both, a silicone material and a fluorinated hydrocarbon, (b) attaching the anchor fragment, at least, to the part of the metal oxide, and (c) inhibiting fouling of the fluid components of the pipe, pipeline or vessel due to the effect of the hydrophobic tail on the fluid.

EFFECT: proposed method prevents corrosion of metal surfaces of equipment, minimizes salt and asphaltenic deposits.
