FIELD: air cleaning.
SUBSTANCE: air purification system comprises an air-purifying apparatus for removing contaminants from the air, a sensor for detecting the concentration of an air pollutant, and an aroma extraction apparatus that reacts to an aroma release signal. Air purification system further comprises a processor adapted for the operational monitoring of the concentration of pollutants based on sensor data obtained from the sensor, and to generate an odour release signal when a rapidly controlled concentration of pollutants falls below the value of the maximum concentration of the air pollutant, during the presence of which the odour may be emitted. Method of creating an aromatized atmosphere in a room is also disclosed.
EFFECT: group of inventions reduces the risk of formation of harmful reaction products when fragrance is emitted into the air.
