SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, in particular to an ondansetron tablet for the treatment of nausea and vomiting, as well as a packaged pharmaceutical preparation and a method for the treatment of nausea and vomiting. Ondansetron tablet includes a core comprising hypromellose, a first amount of a first antiemetic drug or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof dispersed inside the hypromellose, and anhydrous sodium citrate dispersed inside the hypromellose; a first non-functional insulating coat surrounding the core, where the first insulating coat consists of hypromellose; and an immediate release preparation layer surrounding the first insulating coat, where the layer of the immediate release drug comprises hypromellose, and a second amount of a second antiemetic drug or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, dispersed therein, where the tablet controls nausea and vomiting for at least 24 h.

EFFECT: implementation of the invention allows to obtain a solid pharmaceutical composition that provides sustained controlled release of the drug.
