FIELD: applied television.
SUBSTANCE: method of compensation of the geometric noise of the matrix photodetector consists in its preliminary calibration by alternately uniform irradiation of the elements of the photodetector matrix from the source with low and high radiation levels, the digital brightness values of the image frame elements in the calibration process are stored with the minimum exposure time of the photodetector, the maximum exposure time is set at a low level of uniform irradiation of the photodetector and the resulting brightness values of the elements of the image frame are memorized in digital form, their average value is calculated, transformations are carried out and the obtained brightness values are memorized, the coefficient for the set time t of exposure of the photodetector is calculated, the brightness values of the elements of the reference image frame are calculated and their average brightness is determined, and for informative irradiation of a photodetector with a set exposure time t, an output image is formed.
EFFECT: improving the accuracy of compensation of the geometric noise of the matrix photodetector when changing the time of its exposure in the process of informative irradiation.
