FIELD: surveillance systems; radio equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of radio surveillance systems. Observers in the passive vision system coordinate system orientations method consists in establishing a stereo pair of two mutually spaced to the base distance observers and the same scene image two matrices formation containing m point observation objects, wherein measuring the distances from each observer center to m control i-th objects, the slant ranges, determining the orts of directions to objects in the two observers coordinate systems, recalculating the orts coordinates into the points coordinates and then considering m! variants of the first and second observers points connection in m non-repeating conjugated pairs and in the first observer coordinate system making the matrix equation, at that, calculating the vector estimate by the least squares method, next, among the m! connection options choosing one option with the residuals squares smallest sum and from the corresponding to the selected option vector extracting the parameter estimates for the matrix and the vector, which are placed into the desired matrix and vector composition.
EFFECT: reduction of computational costs due to the conjugated points pairs or directions to these points orts choosing rule introduction.
