FIELD: pipelines.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the deployment and direct tie-in of subsea pipelines used to transport hydrocarbons. Said method for deployment of subsea pipelines, having a direct tie-in with a subsea structure includes, during introduction of the pipeline into the sea from a pipe laying vessel, applying a plastic deformation to a region of the pipeline at or close to an end of the pipeline to be tied-in, and this plastic deformation creates a radius rl of the curvature of the pipeline, located near the end of the pipeline, which is smaller than the specified maximum radius RMAX of the curvature, to create a tie-in loop temperature compensator at the tie-in end of the pipeline, and during or after the tie-in, elastic deformation of the specified area by applying a tensile load to the pipeline to increase its radius of the curvature of the specified area.

EFFECT: simultaneous minimization of the forces acting on the connection between the pipeline and the subsea structure and the forces required in the process of their direct connection is ensured, and also minimization of mechanical stresses in a deviated section of the pipeline near its subsea end and the area around the subsea structure required to provide a place for pipeline deflection is provided.
