FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to vehicle heating or cooling systems, more specifically, to a method for controlling the temperature in a vehicle passenger compartment. Method of controlling temperature in a vehicle passenger compartment of a parked vehicle and versions thereof include steps of sensing temperature inside the vehicle at a predetermined time, comparing the sensed temperature to a preferred temperature, confirming absence of any object near a front and a rear of the parked vehicle. Engine of the parked vehicle is turned on if the absence of any object is confirmed and the sensed temperature is not the preferred temperature, and a climate control system is used to change the temperature inside the vehicle passenger compartment.
EFFECT: technical result is enabling to control temperature in the passenger compartment of a parked vehicle without the need for a key-fob.
