FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ferrous metallurgy, namely to the preparation of raw materials for blast-furnace smelting. Mixture for the production of sinter used for the start-up period of the blast furnace includes iron-containing materials in the form of iron ore concentrate, sintering ores, metallurgical wastes and return, lime and coke breeze. In addition, it contains waste or granulated blast furnace slag with a particle size of less than 5 mm in the following ratio of ingredients, wt. %: iron-containing material – 45–75, limestone – up to 10, lime – up to 4, blast-furnace slag – the rest.

EFFECT: invention allows to reduce the cost of blowing due to the reduction of coke consumption and reduction of the risk of emergency situations with equipment outage.
