SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the liquid media disinfection technological processes and can be used for the wastewater and process fluids disinfection in rural and public utilities, chemical technology. Liquid media disinfection method involves the ferromagnetic particles movement in the electromagnetic field. Using the ferromagnetic particles in the form of rods, which are moved together with the active chlorine in the industrial frequency of 50 Hz rotating alternating electromagnetic field. Using the active chlorine with concentration of 14–16 mg/l.

EFFECT: invention allows to improve the liquid media disinfection process environmental safety and overall technological efficiency, to ensure the prolonged bactericidal effect, safety from the epidemiological point of view, lack of the disinfection effect dependence on the disinfected liquid turbidity, hardness and pH.
