SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a medicinal product containing sodium pentosan polysulfate at a dosage of 100 mg in combination with tamsulosin hydrochloride at a dosage of 0.2 or 0.4 mg. Drug is made in the form of a tablet in a capsule, while the capsule includes sodium pentosan polysulfate with pharmaceutically acceptable excipients and a tablet that contains tamsulosin hydrochloride.
EFFECT: drug according to the invention leads to inhibition of fibroblast growth in cells and has therapeutic activity for the treatment of obstruction of the bladder outlet and lower urinary tract symptoms with or without benign prostatic hyperplasia.
