FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to medicine and can be used to treat mammals for otitis externa infection and its complications. Single dose of a pharmaceutically acceptable composition is topically applied to the external ear canal of a mammal. Composition comprises terbinafine HCl, 1.5 % w/w; thiamphenicol, 1 % w/w; diclofenac sodium, 0.5 % w/w; phospholipon 90H, 4.5 % w/w; cholesterol, 0.2 % w/w; acetate of vitamin E, 1.0 % w/w; propylene glycol, 5 % w/w; water, 80.18 % w/w; alcohol, 6 % w/w; xanthan gum, 0.1 % w/w. Phospholipon 90H is used as a lipid carrier. Infection is eliminated within 14 days. Also, the use of a lipid carrier and a pharmaceutically acceptable composition for the manufacture of a composition for otitis externa treatment and its complications is claimed.
EFFECT: group of inventions provides treatment of otitis externa infection and its complications for mammals during 14 days with a single administration.
