FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to combined electrical processing methods and can be used in preparing the surface of a complex profile, for example blades of difficult-to-work materials, before applying heat-resistant coatings. Method of preparing the surface of a complex profile under the gas-plasma spraying includes erosion-thermal surface treatment with an electrode-tool coated with zinc with a thickness ranging from 0.05 to 0.3 mm to achieve a surface roughness of 60–80 microns, and then the modified defective layer of material remaining on the surface microprotrusions is removed by combined treatment with steel microbeads with a diameter of 50 ± 20 mcm when applying a low voltage current in a weakly conducting gas-liquid medium.
EFFECT: invention provides a reduction in the complexity of preparation and surface activation for the high-speed application of gas-plasma coatings on the surface of a complex profile of parts.
