SUBSTANCE: according to the method, temperature and current in the transmission line is measured and a signal for switching off and on the load is generated, wherein the measurement of temperature and current is carried out for each of the three phases of the cable, the settings for temperature and current are set in the form of lower permissible and upper emergency limit levels, as well as the corresponding permissible times for finding the temperature and/or current above the lower long-term allowable and above the upper emergency-permissible limit levels. Signal to disconnect the load is formed when the temperature and/or current is above the lower permanently allowable and above the upper emergency tolerable limit levels when the corresponding allowable residence times exceed.

EFFECT: technical result consists in increasing the operational reliability and efficiency of limiting the overload of a high-voltage cable power line.
