SUBSTANCE: according to the method, if the transmission line is damaged, electromagnetic waves propagating from the fault location to the ends of the transmission lines are fixed, the fact of the damage to the transmission lines over the fixed electromagnetic waves is determined, make a calculation of the distance to the site of damage to the transmission line, issue a signal about the possibility of re-enabling the cable and air power line, as well as information on the estimated distance to the site of damage. According to the proposal, a preliminary simulation of transmission lines is made and forms on its basis a database of wave portraits characteristic of each of the damage sites and divided into cable and air sections, form a wave portrait of the fixed electromagnetic waves in the event of a power line failure, produce a recognition of the generated wave portrayal of the power line, which consists in determining the damaged cable or air section of power lines, as well as the distance to the fault location, when realizing the recognition, calculations of the mutual correlation functions of the formed wave portrait and wave portraits from the database are used, and according to the results of the recognition, a prohibiting signal is given for the re-activation of the cable-air power line if the damage occurred at least on one of the cable sections of the transmission line.
EFFECT: simplification of the method of automatic reclosing of the cable-overhead transmission line, as well as ensuring the issuance of a prohibiting signal for re-activation, if the damage occurred at least on one of the cable sections of the transmission line.
