SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a shock absorber of a storage compartment lid in a vehicle. Said shock absorber includes a bellows chamber and air-vent elements of the shock absorber, each of which is configured to provide an intake of air volume when the bellows chamber expands that is less than a discharge of air volume when the bellows chamber compresses. One air-vent element of the shock absorber is a valve with a movable lid that includes a hole formed in it. Further, the differential pressure of the air of the bellows chamber keeps the movable cover in the closed configuration when the bellows chamber expands and in the open configuration when the bellows chamber compresses. Another air-vent element of the shock absorber is at least one vent valve of the bellows chamber that includes a lid that is designed so that the expansion of the bellows chamber gradually moves the lid to the closed configuration.
