FIELD: pumps.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a gear fuel pump and pumping device and can be used for aircraft engines in which the pump (4') is a high pressure pump. Gear fuel pump (4') operates to deliver a certain flow, but with a low or zero increase in pressure. Stuffing box seal (46) is added between bearings (19) and gears (11). Seal (46) isolates closed cavities (47) surrounding gaps (10) and limited by housing, bearings (19) and gears (11). Cavities (47) contain a fluid other than the fluid, that is fuel pumped through gears. Fluid in cavities (47) has a higher viscosity than pumped fuel.
EFFECT: group of inventions is aimed at ensuring the necessary operational reliability.
