FIELD: construction materials.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for producing materials with hydrophobic properties and can be used in manufacture of building materials and for preparation of hydrophobic sorbents based on natural aluminosilicates for purification of liquid media. Method involves heat treatment of a source material with moisture removal and hydrophobization in the gas phase of hydrocarbon compounds, carried out sequentially in one autoclave. Heat treatment is carried out at the temperature of 450–550 °C for 2–4 hours. After reducing the temperature to 150–200 °C the autoclave is sealed and vacuumed up to 90–98 kPa. Hydrophobization is carried out at negative pressure and temperature of 450–550 °C for 20–30 minutes, at the same time flotation fuel oil brand M100 is used as a hydrocarbon water-repellent agent.

EFFECT: technical result is improving the quality of material processing by increasing the degree of volume hydrophobization, simplifying the method and increasing its safety due to dehydration and hydrophobization in one autoclave and without creating excessive pressure.
