SUBSTANCE: proposed group of inventions relates to the field of transshipment operations, and specifically to the technology of containerization of bulk cargo, their accumulation, storage, transportation and unloading using specialized land and/or sea transport large containers. Transport container consists of a power frame with side walls, at least one loading opening in the upper part and a sliding bottom. Sliding bottom contains movable and fixed parts. Fixed part is made in the form of fixed elements, stacked with the formation between them alternating discharge gaps. Movable part is made in the form of a predominantly frame-type structure with alternating profiles having an inward-facing surface. Method of operation includes loading bulk material into a shipping container, multimodal transportation of the shipping container to destination thereof, offloading of bulk material to a certain place and subsequent direct unloading of bulk material by moving the moving part of the bottom relative to fixed part thereof by the driving actuator from the closed position, in which the profiles block unloading to the open position, wherein the profiles with the help of made through openings between them activate the unloading, thus forming the necessary inclination for the free passage of the bulk material out.
