IMPROVED COATING COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR PRODUCTION THEREOF Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC C08J3/22 B05D1/12 C08L23/06 C08L23/12 C08L63/00 C09D123/06 C09D123/12 C09D163/00

Abstract RU 2681904 C2

FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to coating compositions, to methods for their manufacture and to methods for applying these coating compositions. Method of coating a long tubular product includes: (a) heating an extended metallic tubular article; (b) applying a fused epoxy coating on an extended metal tubular article; (c) coating the epoxy overlay with a coating composition; coating composition is a molten mixture of the following components: (i) epoxy masterbatch, (ii) masterbatch of filler, (iii) curing masterbatch, (iv) polyolefin and, if necessary, (v) adhesion promoter, and/or a black or white concentrate, and/or rubber, such as, for example, Kraton G-1657; epoxy masterbatch contains, wt. %: over 50 % of solid curable epoxy resin; 20–40 % of polyethylene; 0.1–5 % of solid adhesion promoter; 10–15 % of compatibility polymer; 0–3 % of filler; if necessary, 1–5 % of black concentrate; if necessary, 0.2–1.5 % of UV stabilizer; if necessary, 0.2–1.5 % of antioxidant; and the masterbatch of the filler contains, wt. %: 30–50 % of polyethylene or polypropylene; over 50 % of filler; 1–5 % of polymer for compatibility; 0.5–2.0 % of solid adhesion promoter; if necessary, 0.2–1.5 % of the UV stabilizer and/or antioxidant; if necessary, 1–5 % of black concentrate; if necessary, 3–15 % of rubber and, if necessary, 3–15 % of glass fibers or balls; and while curing uterine mixture contains, wt. %: 10–20 % of polyethylene; 70–80 % of polyolefin copolymer; 1–10 % of curing agent and 1–10 % of filler.

EFFECT: this coating can be used as an anti-corrosion coating for pipes used in pipelines for oil, gas and water.
