SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the cosmetic industry and is a cosmetic emulsion composition with microbiological stability, containing: (i) water in an amount of 20 to 70 wt. %, based the total weight of the composition; (ii) saturated fats in an amount of 6 to 15 wt. %, based on the total weight of the composition; and (iii) an emulsifier, where the cosmetic composition contains no preservatives or contains preservatives in amounts not greater than the following values, selected from certain types of preservatives.

EFFECT: invention provides a self-preserving emulsion composition with good microbiological stability, without the need for preservatives.
