SUBSTANCE: invention relates to communication technology and can be used to determine the time of arrival of an incoming satellite signal to a receiver. For this purpose, in the method of receiving the incoming signal, multiply the incoming signal by the first real-valued periodic modifying signal to form the first modified output signal, correlate the first modified output signal to obtain the first output correlation signal, multiply the incoming signal by the second real-valued periodic modifying signal to form the second modified output signal, correlate the second modified output signal to form a second correlation output signal and compare the first correlation output signal with the second correlation output signal.

EFFECT: technical result is to improve the quality of reception.
