SUBSTANCE: in particular, the method discloses a method of evaluating multibeam components, according to which a signal containing at least one binary offset carrier (BOC) modulation signal is received. The BOC modulation signal is modulated by a pseudorandom noise sequence comprising a plurality of elementary signals, each having a set interval. In another aspect, a signal is received, which correlates with parts of the plurality of elementary signals in order to provide a power signal. Parts of the elementary signals are shorter than the set interval. In an additional aspect, presence of a multibeam signal in the received signal is detected. Detection of multibeam transmission is at least partly based on one or more characteristics of the power signal.
EFFECT: invention increases accuracy of measuring pseudorange and coordinates of the receiving device.
