FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for treating titanium alloys and can be used in the manufacture of wire from (α+β)-titanium alloy for additive technology. Method for manufacturing wire from (α+β)-titanium alloys for additive technologies involves heating the workpiece and deforming the workpiece by drawing or rolling several passes. Workpiece is deformed by drawing or rolling by heating the workpiece (Tw) to temperature Tw=300–635 °C and heating of the fiber or rollers (Tf) to temperature Tf=300–650 °C. Deformation velocity (V) of the workpiece is selected at each pass, depending on the diameter (d) of the workpiece: V=(2–10) m/min for the diameter d=(from 8.0 to 7.0) mm, V=(10–15) m/min for the diameter d=(from less than 7.0 to 5.0) mm, V=(15–20) m/min for the diameter d=(from less than 5.0 to 4.0) mm, V=(20–30) m/min for the diameter d=(from less than 4.0 to 3.0) mm, V=(30–40 m/min for the diameter d=(from less than 3.0 to 2.0) mm, V=(40–60) m/min for the diameter d=(from less than 2.0 to 1.6) mm. Obtain wire with a single piece without welded joints with high strength, ductility and low anisotropy of mechanical properties along the length of the wire.
EFFECT: quality of the wire is increased.
