FIELD: wire making.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for manufacturing wire from (α+β)-titanium alloys for additive technologies. The workpiece is heated and the workpiece is deformed by drawing or rolling in several passes. Heating of the workpieces is carried out by induction method using one, two or three induction heating units with a given rated power and frequency, depending on the diameter of the workpiece.
EFFECT: as a result, the wire is made in a single piece without welded joints with a homogeneous, fine-grained structure, while increasing the strength and ductility of the wire, reducing the anisotropy of mechanical properties along the length and cross-section of the wire.
