FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to treatment of titanium alloys by pressure. Reduction of duration of complete cycle of wire production, possibility to obtain wire by single piece without welded joints, high strength and plasticity of titanium wire from (α+β)-titanium alloy, obtaining a homogeneous, fine-grained alloy structure, reduction of anisotropy of mechanical properties along length and section of wire is provided due to that, heated workpiece and deformation, wherein deformation is carried out at the specified rate of deformation and degree of deformation in one pass at temperature Ts=(450–850) °C, and billet heating to temperature Ts is performed by induction method by means of one, two or three induction heating units with regulated rated power and frequency.

EFFECT: disclosed is a method of making wire from (α+β)-titanium alloy for additive technology with high speed and degree of deformation.
