FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to treatment of titanium alloys by pressure. Obtaining wire from (α+β)-titanium alloy in a single piece without welded joints, with high strength and plasticity, with a homogeneous, fine-grained alloy structure, with reduced anisotropy of mechanical properties over the wire length and section. Method includes workpiece heating and deformation by drawing or rolling in several passes. On the first pass, the surface layer of the wire is removed without heating and deformation, at subsequent passes deformation is performed with heating of workpieces (Tw) using an induction method, using one, or two or three units with specified rated power and frequency, deformation is carried out at specified temperature, rate of deformation and degree of deformation of workpiece in one pass.
EFFECT: higher quality of wire from (α+β)-titanium alloy for additive technology, reduced costs for its production is ensured by reducing the duration of a full cycle of wire production.
