SUBSTANCE: acoustic profilograph for imaging bottom surface. Invention relates to the field of hydrography, oil, gas and chemical industries, in particular to devices for obtaining images of the surface of the bottom of reservoirs or tanks with water or other liquids. Main element of the device is receiving and transmitting acoustic signal block 6. Receiving and transmitting acoustic signal block 6 is located in housing 3 or structurally integrated with it. Receiving and transmitting acoustic signal block 6 contains, among other things, an electro-acoustic transducer, made and placed with the possibility of receiving from the outside and transmitting (radiating) an acoustic signal to the environment. Receiving and transmitting acoustic signal block 6 is fixed in housing 3 in such a way that the direction of propagation of the emitted acoustic signal forms an acute angle with the direction of the gravity vector (more detail regarding the placement of the reception and transmission unit of the acoustic signal 6 is described below). When scanning the surface of the bottom receiving and transmitting acoustic signal block 6 moves along a helix with a constant speed of immersion. If the bottom of the tank is flat, then the spiral will represent the path of the intersection of the intersection of the scanning acoustic beam and the plane of the tank. Trajectory of the scanning acoustic beam and the conditional image of the bottom surface are shown in Fig. 3.

EFFECT: technical result of the invention is to reduce energy costs.
