FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a seat system for tracked vehicles such as snow groomers. Seat system comprises a base and seat slides mounted on the base and movable in a direction transverse to a direction of forward movement of the snow groomer. Seat slides comprise a pivot system for permitting a swiveling motion of a seat mounted on the seat slides via the pivot system. Seat system includes a user interface mounted on the seat slides and adapted to move with said slides along the base. User interface has an input part for receiving user commands for controlling the operation of the snow groomer and an output part for transmitting information to the operator. System also includes a controlled locking device to limit in a controlled manner the movement of the seat slides in a direction transverse to the forward movement of the snow groomer, and a controller to determine when the condition is met. Locking device is controlled to prevent movement of the seat slides when the controller determines that the condition is met.
EFFECT: invention provides an improved view of the operator when treating surfaces, as well as the creation of optimal conditions for surface treatment.
