FIELD: internal combustion engines.

SUBSTANCE: method and apparatus are proposed for regulating the boost pressure in internal combustion engine (39) with supercharger (1) of a wave supercharging system, wherein supercharger (1) of the wave supercharging system has cellular rotor (8), passing through at least two compression cycles in one revolution, flow (4c) of the high-pressure waste gases is divided into first and second partial flows (4d, 4e) of the high-pressure waste gases, in the first compression cycle, a flow (2c) of fresh air and a first partial flow (4d) of high-pressure exhaust gases are supplied to the cellular rotor (8) and the first flow (3c) of compressed fresh air and flow (5e) of low pressure waste gases is off-taken from cellular rotor (8), and in the second compression cycle, a flow (2c) of fresh air is fed to cellular rotor (8), as well as second partial flow (4e) of high-pressure waste gases and second flow (3d) of compressed fresh air and flow (5e) of low-pressure exhaust gases is off-taken from cellular rotor (8), first and second flows (3c, 3d) of compressed fresh air are brought together into the flow of charge air (3e), and charge air (3e) is brought to internal combustion engine (39), second partial flow (4e) of the exhaust gases of high pressure is subjected to regulation, so as to control the pressure of charge air (3e), before connecting the first and second flows (3c, 3d) of compressed fresh air to the flow of charge air (3e), second flow (3d) of compressed fresh air is conducted through check valve (9).

EFFECT: technical result is increase in the efficiency.
