FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to glass for retroreflective microspheres. Glass contains the following components, wt. %: 54.0–70.0 SiO2; 17.0–30.0 CaO; 7.0–16.0 Na2O and/or K2O; 0–5.0 MgO; 0–5.0 Al2O3 and not more than 0.1 Fe2O3. Glass has a refractive index of more than 1.53, preferably at least 1.539. Surface tension of glass at a temperature of 1300 °C is at least 335 mN/m, and the temperature range of viscosity of glass from 104 Pa*s to 108 Pa*s is not more than 216 °C.
EFFECT: improving the efficiency of retroreflection microballs.
