SUBSTANCE: invention relates to water transport, it relates to a technology of designing ships with a device for the formation of air cavities under the bottom and can be used in construction of high-speed vessels, boats, sports boats, etc. Method of creating an air interlayer under a vessel bottom includes air supply through air ducts, direction of the supplied air along the bottom using longitudinal guides, air distribution across the vessel width and the creation of air cavities, while the air supply under the vessel bottom is carried out in the zone of stable contact of the vessel bottom with water using at least one transverse air outlet from the air ducts, after which a thin-walled air layer is created on the bottom, for which an air flow is successively broken along the entire length of the bottom and divided into smaller air bubbles and they are evenly distributed across the width of each part of the bottom between the longitudinal guide-limiters using grooves-cavities made semi-oval shape in transverse rows on the vessel bottom.
EFFECT: technical result consists is higher speed of the vessel movement.
