SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a self-closing door for closing the zone (3) with at least a partly defined frame, said self-closing door comprising: (A) motorized drive mechanism (10) for moving the front edge (1L) of flap (1) in first direction (α) to close the specified zone defined in the specified frame, and in second direction (β) to open the specified zone; (B) wave-based detection cells (5), designed to detect the presence of an obstacle in the area defined by the frame; and / or (C) additionally or alternatively, impact detector (6) designed to detect a impact event that occurred at the front edge of the flap; (D) a processor (CPU) programmed to perform the following operations: (a) when opening a zone for the first time by moving the leading edge of the flap in the specified second direction (β) maintaining an open area during the opening time t1, then (b) closing the flap, (c) recording whether an obstacle and / or an impact event were detected by a detection device based on the use of waves or an impact detector when the flap is closed; (d) counting the number n of obstacles and / or impact events detected after the number N of repetitions of the cycle determined by stages (a)–(c), and if the frequency of events n/N>νref,1, where νref,1 is the first control relation, then the opening time t1 is extended to time t2=t1+Δt2 where Δt2>0; repeating steps (a)–(d) with a value of t1 or a value of t2 determined in step (d).
