SUBSTANCE: control device (20) for entrance system (10) has one or several movable door elements (D1...Dm) and automatic door actuator (30) to ensure the movement of one or several movable door elements (D1...Dm) between closed and open positions. Control device (20) contains controller (32) and a set of sensors (S1...Sn). Each sensor is connected to controller (32) and is made with the possibility of monitoring corresponding zone (Z1...Zn) at entrance system (10) relatively to the presence or activity of a person or an object. Each sensor (S1...Sn) has an active mode and an inactive mode, wherein the sensor does not consume electricity in the inactive mode or consumes significantly less electricity in the inactive mode than in the active mode. Controller (32) is made with the possibility of determining the current state of operation of entrance system (10) among a set of possible states of operation and selective switch of at least one of sensors (S1...Sn) to its active mode or to its inactive mode, depending on the specific current state of operation of entrance system (10).
