FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measurement of medium flow rate, such as fluid, gas or steam, performed by means of narrowing devices. Application areas can be nuclear, thermal and hydropower facilities, chemical and processing industries, as well as other production processes where medium flow rate measurements are carried out. Method of adjusting measuring channel (MC) of medium with narrowing device (ND), which includes following stages: on sensor, which measures pressure drop ΔP on the narrowing device, adjusting the linear output characteristic; in a computing device receiving a measurement signal of the sensor and calculating the flow rate of the medium Q, a threshold Qp is set individually for each MC or measured pressure drop ΔPp, corresponding to lower boundary of flow rate measurements at ND and characterizing moment of inclusion of quadratic relationship between medium flow rate and pressure drop.
EFFECT: due to that for each MC flow there is an individual adjustment of the threshold value Qp or ΔPp, which determines moment of inclusion of quadratic relationship between medium flow rate and pressure drop, it is possible to minimize deviation of the readings of the MC from the real calibration characteristic of the ND and thereby considerably increase the accuracy of measurements at low values of flow rate.
