SUBSTANCE: equipment for performing automated remote verification and calibration, metrological self-monitoring and other processes, which involves assessing the metrological performance of industrial measuring channels (MC). A method for determining the metrological characteristics of a measuring channel (MC) and its components, in which a measuring signal is transmitted from a measuring device (MD) to a software and hardware complex (SHC) and devices for recording and/or displaying information. In this case, the SHC switches the MC to the calibration mode, transmits a calibration digital reference value (DRV) to the MD via digital data transmission, the SHC, using digital data transmission or a discrete electrical signal, transmits a command to the MD to launch calibration test signals in accordance with the DRV transmitted from SHC or installed on the MD.

EFFECT: automation of procedures for MC remote verification and calibration, reducing the labour costs for their implementation by eliminating the need to start verification or calibration of the MC from the MD buttons.
