FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of operating a hydrogen superstructure NPP. In the invention, the claimed part of the generated electrical energy is sent to the consumer during the period of minimum electrical load. Other part, determined by the dispatcher limits, is used to operate the hydrogen superstructure unit; hydrogen and oxygen are produced in at least one starting electrolyzer and sent to a hydrogen-oxygen steam generator. Dual-mode hydrogen-oxygen steam generator, the geometry of the mixing chamber of which is modified using a ladle valve, operates in two modes: to generate additional steam sent to the NPP turbine to obtain additional electrical power during the period of maximum electrical load, and in the period of minimum schedules of electrical load, part of the electric power, determined by dispatching restrictions, is used for the operation of the hydrogen superstructure unit; to generate hydrogen and oxygen, from which one part of the obtained hydrogen and oxygen after cooling in coolers through compressors is sent to hydrogen and oxygen storages, the other part is sent to a dual-mode hydrogen-oxygen steam generator.
EFFECT: technical result is an increase in the operating efficiency of the NPP unit with a hydrogen superstructure, namely: reduction of electricity consumption for electrolysis, an increase in the amount of hydrogen and oxygen produced, an additional increase in the amount of electricity generated during periods of maximum schedules for the electrical load on nuclear power plants.
