FIELD: nuclear power plants.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for improving efficiency of emergency backup of the auxiliary needs of a double-circuit nuclear power plant and is intended for use at nuclear power plants (NPPs) with water-cooled reactors. The method is based on the combination of an additional steam turbine with an economizer feed water heater before feeding it into the steam generator, increasing the flow of fresh steam. Moreover, the method uses a heat exchanger-economizer, as well as an additional steam turbine to cool the reactor in the event of a complete blackout of the station, which is put into operation without reducing steam consumption to the main turbine unit.

EFFECT: improved efficiency of uninterrupted power supply for the auxiliary needs of nuclear power plants using an additional low-power steam turbine in the event of a complete blackout of the station.
