FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to internal combustion engines. Essence of inventions consists in fact that method of engine operation is realized by creation of working body in additional device outside cylinder at air compression, which is mixed with fuel, ignited and released into above-piston cavity of cylinder at performance of piston stroke. According to the invention prior to mixing of air and fuel, separate thermal preparation of their cyclic portions in the temperature range of 500–2,000 K in periods from 170 to 520° crankshaft turn angle. Method is realized in engine comprising two or more cylinder-piston groups with additional devices. Additional device for each cylinder is made with three chambers having controlled mechanisms, inlet and outlet channels. Two chambers structurally provide for separate thermal preparation of air and fuel, and third chamber – mixing and combustion of fuel-air mixture.
EFFECT: increased efficiency and reduced toxicity of exhaust gases.
