FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used at operation of internal combustion engines with injecting of fuel or fuel-air mixture into operating cylinder. Engine operation takes place in four cycles: working stroke, exhaust and scavenging compression, second scavenging, injection of fuel-air mixture and its compression. For this purpose, after working stroke, fuel feed channel is overlapped, and spark plug is disconnected from ignition system. After second scavenging, fuel feed channel is opened and spark plug is connected to ignition system. When crankshaft of engine attains required speed or vehicle is running at preset speed, two-cycle operation of engine is provided, namely: working stroke, exhaust and scavenging, compression and delivery of fuel-air mixture. Fuel-air ratios for four-stroke and two-stroke operation of engine are given in description of invention.
EFFECT: provision of stable operation at slow and mean speed, reduced fuel consumption and toxicity of exhaust gases.
