FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: device is intended for inductive sealing of several sheets of a multilayer material containing a carrier layer made of a material which does not conduct electricity, a sealing layer made of a thermoplastic material, and a metal layer located between the sealing and carrier layer. Device comprises first and second sealing clips, made movable relative to each other, sealing gap, located between the first and second clips for receiving several sheets of a multilayer material, actuator configured to provide relative movement of the clips, as well as to create a pressing force on the sheets of the multilayer material in the sealing gap. Moreover, each clip contains a block and a hub attached to it, containing a recess having a hole facing in the direction of the sealing gap, inductance coil placed in a recess and configured to heat the metal layer in the laminate to weld adjacent thermoplastic layers together of several sheets of the laminate by pressing the clips together. Block consists of a metallic material, and the concentrator is composed of several partial parts, each of which consists of a material suitable for concentrating a magnetic field, and all of them are electrically isolated from each other and relatively to the metal block.
EFFECT: invention is also an inductive sealing method using the device described above; group of inventions enables higher quality.
