FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ion-plasma, or ionic electric rocket engine used for controlled movement of aircraft in space vacuum, including orbital satellites. Spacecraft ion-plasma electric propulsion device comprises accumulator with working medium in it, reactor chamber connected to said accumulator, equipped with electrodes for structure conversion, ionizing, accelerating and neutralizing particles of said working medium by electromagnetic field. In the region, mainly between said accumulator and said reactor chamber there is a built-in intermediate active unit, having an acoustic wave source connected to the activating generator.
EFFECT: longer life, higher reliability, stability and efficiency of traction characteristics, efficient use of working substance and engine.
