FIELD: water and air purification technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention concerns a filter cartridge for filtering water, in particular for water softening or water purification, respectively, for use in an air humidifier. Humidifier for cold evaporation of water, having a container for filling the liquid, a roller is provided for humidifying the air, as well as an electric drive for rotating the roller around the axis of rotation, the roller has a shaft and a plate, the plate is partially immersed in the liquid. Roller includes a filter cartridge for filtering water, in particular for water softening and/or water purification, having a filling chamber for filling with filter material, in particular ion exchange resin or activated carbon, and an opening for supplying water to be filtered into the filling chamber and/or release thereof from the filling chamber, the filter cartridge is made to be located in the container with the water to be filtered, so that the filter cartridge can go into the water filled into the container, the specified hole is made both as a water inlet for supplying water from the container to the filling chamber, and as a release of water to drain water from the filling chamber to the container, a support device is provided for supporting in the container, in particular a hub for mounting on a shaft and/or axis of rotation, the filter cartridge is mounted on the shaft, and the filter cartridge, in particular the said opening, is located in and/or on the container so that the water collected by the filter cartridge from the filtering container is again released into the container for water that is not freshly collected.

EFFECT: this allows to simplify the use of an air humidifier or, accordingly, with a method of filtering water in such a way that a quick filling process is possible.
