SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of communication technology and can be used in communications with amplitude- or frequency-manipulated signals. In the signal energy detection method with the noise and signal combinational components compensation and noise forming the signals, which consist of two harmonic signals of the same duration, existing in the 0–T and T–2T time intervals, signal phases differ by π, their amplitudes are differ by the specified number of times. Signal first part is delayed by T, subtracting the signal second part therefrom, the parallel delayed signal and the signal second part are summed up (differential and total signals). After they are squared, performing the combination components compensation and estimating the signal power values. Conclusion about the first or second type signal presence is made according to the signal power value with the threshold one comparison result.
EFFECT: increase in the noise immunity by the narrowband or additive Gaussian interference and the amplitude or the frequency-manipulated signals and noise mixture power evaluation provision with high accuracy.
