FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: automatic circuit breaker comprises movable contact, fixed contact, rotating shaft and actuator, wherein movable contact is made with possibility of rotation around rotation axis of rotating shaft relative to fixed contact and circuit is closed or opened as result of connection or disconnection of movable contact and fixed contact; actuator comprises an upper lever, a lower lever and a handle, wherein the upper lever is rotatable about the upper lever end under the action of the handle, other end of upper lever is rotatably connected to end of lower lever by lever pivot shaft and other end of lower lever is pivotally connected to rotary shaft, so that upper lever and lower lever are able to actuate rotary shaft for rotation of movable contact; provision is made for a predetermined relationship between the upper arm working length and the lower lever working length, and also between working length of upper lever and distance from articulation joint point of lower lever and rotary shaft to axis of rotation of rotating shaft, so that movable contact rotates by angle of more than 30° at separation of movable contact and fixed contact.

EFFECT: increased efficiency of opening.
