FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and can be used in production of electric machine containing cast part with stator installed in it. Metallic functional area of cast part is formed using friction from rotating tool having main part with flange and tip with cutting device. Tool with the tip sharpened into the main part is brought into contact with the cast part and is rotated with local plasticizing of its material in the functional area. Point is projected from main part and immersed in plasticized material of cast part to stator surface. Plasticising process is continued. Direction of rotation of the tool is changed after reaching the stator surface by the tip. In the stator grooves are created at rotation of the tool in the second direction. Point is sharpened and simultaneous flow of plasticized material of cast part and shavings into free space of groove is provided.
EFFECT: as a result, it is possible to manufacture a high quality product.
